Here you’ll see how we slowly start stacking a second and third calendar on the trade, which will convert it into a triple calendar position. I’ll also give you some insights on how to manage your inventory in general.

Remember that when you trade Calendars, you can’t let the trade expire, but instead, you need to get out of the position at the right time, so that’s precisely what we’ll try to do in this module.

In this module we are going to trade the SPX, which is an index, and I will show you my thoughts and ideas as we go through the trade.

The SPX is ten times the size of the SPY, which means that a movement in it will affect your positions quite a bit, giving you the potential of a more significant gain, but also the risk of a more substantial loss.

In module 29 we are going to continue unwinding our RUT trade. I’ll show you some different variations and adjustments, as well as some issues and problems that you may experience when you’re operating under rocky market conditions.

In this module we are going to take a look at Tesla. This is a favorite stock for many option traders.

I’ll show you how to set up a few calendar contracts, you’ll see I analyze the trade in general, as well as some adjustments you could make to it.

Video 31: TSLA Trade Part 2

In the second part of our Tesla trade, we are going to start taking off our calendar contracts on this position.

Remember that if you let your calendars expire, you are going to lose money, and we don’t want that to happen. That’s why you always want to get out of the position at the right time, and that’s exactly what we’ll try to do in this module.

Video 32: FB Trade

In this Facebook trade example you’ll be able to see some of the struggles I’ve had with it, and you’ll see some of the advantages and disadvantages of trading a stock that’s around $180, when it comes to calendars.

We’ll initially set up a double calendar position with 36 days out, and then we’ll add more positions and make adjustments as the trade moves forward.

Video 33: DIA Trade

This trade example is going to be quite different. We are going to trade the Diamonds, but we are not going to be buying a calendar. Instead we will sell a calendar.

You’ll see that this variation is a lot different, we’ll be losing on the time decay, but it won’t hurt you as much if you know how to trade it, especially if you position it correctly and you hold it for only 20% – 40% of your time frame.

Video 34: SPY Trade

In this trade example we are going to do something a little bit different with the SPY. I’m going to show you how to setup and trade a multi-month calendar.

You’ll get the idea of how a trade like this works. You’ll see the benefits behind it, as well as some of the risks associated with it.

Video 35: AAPL Trade Part 1

In this trade example we’ll take a look at Apple. We will setup our calendar trade, and then we’re going to play a little bit with the positioning.

For this trade we’ll need to trade multiple contracts in order to increase the theta and have significant moves in our position.

In the part two of our Apple trade example, we are going to continue looking at the contracts, adding and subtracting to the position, as the trade progresses and moves forward.

It moves around quite a bit, so you need to understand that the numbers can get big very quickly, which means you can have bigger profits but but also bigger losses than usual, so you need to be very careful when trading a stock like this.
